Hello world!

Welcome to the new WordPress-driven blog on SomeNet. I’ve always been hesitant to jump into these kinda things while the terminology was still buzzy and trendy… but I guess by now if I ain’t bloggin, I ain’t livin - right ? All my friends are doin it, right ? This is the way a vigorous Internet is supposed to work, right ? So why does the name invoke images of sprawling lethargy ? Or is it just me… So I will reserve the right to change the site name at some point in the future if we somehow come up with a better name.

Turns out, I still enjoy using vi and command line antics for html generation. Maybe that explains why all my stuff is so simple… I like the Composer that comes with Mozilla, and I still appreciate the ZFx Business Center for a “whole-site” management philosophy. Over the years I have amassed many many MegaBytes of html pages, image files, and cgi-scripts - all scattered about a multitude of URLs. Thanks continue to everyone who has contributed to my enjoyment of that art. So what is the appeal of this blog-style method ?

Possibly I will find here, a new method of accumulating the various pages and items I like to share and show off. I have grown accustomed to posting things from various disciplines into several different site names, and dropping links here and there within the other sites. The notion here is to identify these categories, create various articles within those areas, and let this software feature new items on the front page… So far so good, right ? And then let everyone else comment about how meaningful it all is, right ? Hummm, that would require other users actually coming by to visit and read, right ? I guess time will tell.

Anyway, I’ve got a lot of catching up to do - you probably won’t find much else in here until I figure out how to drive this thing. Yall come back now, Y’hear ?
