Soyuz-15S launches to ISS

The launch of Soyuz-15S marks the beginning of ISS Expedition 16.
Read more about Exp-16 on the NASA website. After a week or so on station, this Soyuz will return to earth completing the Russian crew rotation and ending Expedition 15. On October 23 the Discovery orbiter will carry the STS-120 crew to orbit, docking with the ISS and delivering the next major construction item, the Harmony node.
