So, we’re just hanging out at the beach. Sun, sand, surf, shrimp - you know…

Discovered it is much easier to do time exposures with the Nikon than I had expected. I’ll be doing more of these. This moonrise was about 9pm, and it took about 30 minutes to get above the haze. Conditions are near perfect. The onshore breeze starts up usually by 10am, and keeps it from getting too hot. The water temperature is exactly right, and has just the right amount of salt… I do enjoy the beach, but once a year is usually enough. It’s good to see all the kids having so much fun. /;^)

Alan,
Great shot and looks like a wonderful perch for you and the ladies. -
Tell Lenore and Shelby I said hello and I love that “Strawberry Moon!”

In case anyone noticed the ‘missing pixel’ between the moon and the left horizon - that would be Jupiter . . .
This picture was a time exposure of about 15 seconds. The camera was hand-held steady on a piling of the pier.
