Welcome KG4RCP, Kevin

I am please to announce the addition of Kevin L. Bardon to the SomeNet family.
Mr.Bardon has recently been using email to share his observations and reflections on life and the world in general, and I thought his insight worthy of a slightly larger audience. Join me in welcoming Kevin to the blog-o-sphere. I hope you find his musings as interesting as I have.
Kevin was in Huntsville way before I was, as everyone already knew him when I got here. He is known in the ham radio community as KG4RCP. He is known in the medical community as RN. He struck me right off as someone who 1) had some learnin, 2) knew how to think, and 3) knew how to express his thoughts.
With this obvious powerful combination, Kevin has also worked in broadcasting, A/V production, computer networking, and has attained certification as a Volunteer Firefighter, First Responder, and as a Health & Safety Instructor for the American Red Cross. His day-job has seen tours of duty with the Trauma & Burn Intensive Care Units at both UA Birmingham and Vanderbilt University, and most recently in California. KG4RCP has also been active with the Huntsville Amateur Radio Club, the local ARES/RACES organization, as well as SKYWARN.
I’ll stop now, and let Kevin tell us more about himself. We will try to protect his email address as necessary, but feel free to reply to his articles. You can easily link to and follow his writings with http://www.somenet.net/kg4rcp …
Welcome to SomeNet Kevin ! /;^)

Wow, Alan!
You’ve given me a most kind and GREAT introduction!
Folks, he just about said it all… save that I am a musician (trumpet, guitar, paino & voice), and photographer as well. My photos may be seen at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/southernbreeze/ .
Where do I get the ideas for the things about which I write? Well, I dunno’. I ’spose that all the thinking that I do has to come out somewhere or another! Just like the time I went to band camp in Mentone, AL. I’ll share a few stories about that later. Y’all be sure to remind me, okay?
Seriously, though… I enjoy writing things with a lighthearted perspective, and of course, with a distinctively Southern flavor.
And I would be grossly remiss if I neglected to share about my faith.
Yes, I’m a Christian. I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the now and ever living and first-born son of God, Light from Light, True God from True God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, He came down from Heaven… well, that’s what we say in church.
After reading it for a while, it tends to get down in you. You know what I mean. It’s like you got down it COLD!
Anyway, I’m so glad to be here!
And thanks to so many of you whom have encouraged me with your kind words about my writing!
Finally, many thanks to you, Alan!
So, I’ll be seeing you all in all the old familiar places… that is, at blog.somenet.net!
