I remember so clearly Minnie telling me to go downstairs and look in her cedar chest and get her towels that she had been saving. I was her caregiver now that she was bedfast, and I could not seem to keep up with all the washing of bedclothes and towels.

I love the fall. Even with the day off, I was up about 4:30 - checking the temperature and cloud cover outside… Long about 6am the sun was trying to wedge it’s glowing fingers inbetween the clouds, sparking the gold and red highlights in the tree-tops.

Tonight, Arizona Senator and Republican Presidential nominee John McCain gave one of the most dignified and gracious concession speeches I’ve ever heard.
In it, he encouraged all Americans to join together behind President elect, Illinois Senator and Democratic nominee Barak Obama for the betterment of America.
